One of my favourite summer plants, don't the insects love them! I always get the name mixed up with Eryngium...that reminds me, my Eryngium Hobbit has disappeared......:(((

I also get them mixed up with Eryngium, never grown either but think I just might give them a go after seeing this lovely purple globe;0)

Janey / Carole my tongue gets in a twist just trying to pronounce those names :o) I like any plants that attract the Bees Slad / Ph ,I haven't seen many Butterflys this year which is a great shame our garden is a mass of colour you would normally expect to see loads of them !

I love this Echinops too..mine just starting to 'blue up' as well.....I find the bees/Butterflies seem to prefer these, and the drumstick Alliums, more than the Buddlia ..

Love these, too! The bees certainly enjoy them. Not many butterflies over here either. Saw a monarch today and got a picture too!
