Thanks Pixi and PoppyL, My red daliah (only one) has buds so wont be long now but it is small, last year it grew tall with a lot of flowers, no chance now..

That is so lovely...it looks just like you are inside a huge victorian style glass-house..not like outdoors in the North of England at all! Brilliant!

Ooh, DD, what are you going to change it to now then? Can't wait to see what you get up to next..thank goodness for us restless souls...I was saying to the Head Gardener at Glamis last week...one thing a garden can never do is stay the same....it's not possible is it....everything grows and changes.

DD, I should explain....Kath (Scotkat) and I are now the first volunteer gardeners at Glamis Castle. We are going to be working on the restoration of the 4 acre walled garden...it is going to be amazing! :))

We have just taken two old black metal arches out, and put in a large cream one, so all the roses have been either cut back or taken out, and the planting will be changed again!! has taken us all day, so worn out now!!
