New Back Porch and Yard

I have a large porch to gather all the porch plants from the other house, the bidens have moved first. As you can see I have soo much area at this new location, but much more woods and shade. I'm leaving the back to itself and just using the porch for now. Everything I have will fit in front.

I love a little biden too, bright and happy. Thank you Janey. This is goldilocks, she flowers double and stays a nice bush like this with a strong floral fragrance. I had to brighten this deep shady wood. Its very expansive and soo private. Plenty of wildlife, once they get comfy with Bianca prowling around. I've only had the neighbors boxer and some Gray Jays so far.
Thank you Homebird. It really is ideal. Just not a covered porch so it must be a nice day. All the plants from the other porch swamp it, so I'll have to plan a little differently next year. Still, wonderful amount of space and quiet. :-) I'm thrilled.

Thank you Sandra. I've been loving all this space. I can't wait to have the time to just enjoy it. I'm moved and now buried in 'the rest of the stuff'. Eek! :-)

i have lived in the same house for 20 years...i cant imagine packing up all my stuff...must be fun though to start over...

The stuff you don't realize is there until you move is overwhelming. I've just kept charging along. But I feel new again, I really needed a change like this without realizing it.
I find moving freeing, but I would like really settling.

i moved here with one car load and a small van....i think id need a fleet of lorries to move me on the stuff i have amassed...must be very freeing....i've renovated a few houses along the way but id really like to build an eco house one day...old houses like ours are sooo draughty..

Ooo, that would be wonderful. So many directions you could go with that. Not many eco cabins out here, but I do conserve water, even with plumbing I'm still having to bring it here.

Thank you Bik. It is really a beautiful wood. Our colors are changing and it is like a patchwork quilt back there now. All wild grass and raspberries mostly. Along the top and bottom are dog roses and wild viburnum. I loks the viburnum as they go scarlet for autumn and the red cranberries get a distinct smell, which I like, but most do not. Reminds me of all the great syrup I'm going to make. :-)

I bet you're really pleased with this GT, smashing place to sit and watch wild life too. Bidens is one of my favourite summer plants, I grew quite a lot from saved seed this year, doesnt it brighten everything up.....:0))
