This is a stunner Meanie...

Me too Sticki!

This is loaded PA! How do you over-winter yours?

I would recommend this Moti if you can get it going early enough............

Lovely, no sign of flowers on mine yet either and its in the sunroom!!!!!!!!

Meanie I have a flower nearly open on the salvia Black and Blue you sent me :-))

9 Sep, 2012

Mine is in a frost free greenhouse min temp +3 in the winter, outside at the moment as it has a little red spider mite.

Beautiful colour, I must try growing some of these unusual ones again....

Simbad - this is outdoors.
You're clearly talking very nicely to the Black & Blue!

It's in the ground Plantoholic, so it'll have to do its best with a fleece. Maurizio Vecchia reckons down to zero celsius.............

DD - This has proven to be a good one. Blooms really strongly, but was late this year. Very vigorous grower too.

Thanks for the info....Meanie I am needing some advice regarding our Brugmansia, will post a pic with some questions.

wonderful, need one of these for my polytunnel : )

10 Sep, 2012

Perhaps P.antioquensis as the fruits are said to be sublime..........

10 Sep, 2012

That's a superb flower color! And, I do see many species of Passiflora here in San Diego.

14 Sep, 2012

It's also proven to be a real doer (if late owing to the non summer) Delonix!

14 Sep, 2012

Does it produce fruit?

14 Sep, 2012

Too short a season I think.................

14 Sep, 2012

Meanie:

That's okay. I'll send you several big boxes full of passion fruits. lol! My neighbor has probably thousands of fruit (of 3 varieties) on her 100ft plus cyclone fence. I've already received a few huge bags of fruit for juicing.

14 Sep, 2012

Lush!

14 Sep, 2012

and to think I have to pollinate mine by hand lol

14 Sep, 2012

Any success yet?

14 Sep, 2012

oh yes a few fruits there, some small ones fell off but have 20 now with my bits of tape with a few slug pellets ; )
I am just wondering if they can get close to ripening in there. No matter but next year well that'll be a different story : )

14 Sep, 2012

Do not be tempted to try them unless they are fully ripe as they have a certain level of toxicity as they ripen.

14 Sep, 2012

Will do

14 Sep, 2012

Meanie:

You're correct about unripe fruit. Here we just wait for them to fall to the ground. Or pick them and wait until they're wrinkled, shriveled before you eat or juice them!
