Pittosporum'Tom Thumb'

Flanked by two Sedum cuttings..the only plants I found ,that have survived in this front garden border..full of concrete foundations from the steps behind....so at least there is some colour :o)

Thank you Denise..nice in late spring too, with the pale green new foliage..and I managed to take a cutting, but it is still quite small yet..and I'm willing it to grow and survive :o)

Thanks,Cinders..it doesn't seem to go out of shape at all..I just trim a few bits off, that grow over the lawn..very slow growing, which is good ..

That looks smashing, Sandra ... I moved mine from the back garden to the front ... it seems happier there!

Thanks Shirley..I managed to get a cutting going, but it's still quite small..it's taken a year to get going ! I have planted it out in a shaded spot, but not sure if I should lift it for winter, and keep it under cover..it might not survive the elements..

I would definitely protect it Sandra ... perhaps a good mulch of compost/bark/etc. would see it through Winter ... or you could just put it in a big fleeced pot!

I think you are right Shirley..I will make sure it's looked after well :o)

Looks a lovely neat patch Bloomer. Your grass is looking lovely and green too....after all the rain no doubt ;-)

Thank you Richard..It took me a while to find something that would grow in that border, with it having lots of concrete under the soil from the steps..and I agree, the grass benefited from all the rain..just had it's last cut..maybe..and scarified..:o)

I have one of these ,I've noticed that the new growth starts to grow green but then turns bronze later , yours looks lovely with the pink contrasting sedum :o)
