Last of the Tomatoes...

I made a delic, Chutney from the balance of our Cherry Toms...had quite a zing to it and easy to make....

My husband eats all mine....my sister usually has a glut of toms at the end of season and makes soup...She just mentioned the other day she would like to make chutney next year, but doesn't know how, im sure the internet would supply recipes, i told her...:>)

The last of ours have been layed out in the greenhouse to ripen off , they are my fav. I can't stop eating them off the vines , I make soup when we have a glut ........

I dont know how many dozen i've eaten during the summer Amy lol...Hard to eat shop bought, isn't it?...:>)

It is Motinot ,the taste is nothing like home grown is it , I happen to know that those packs of tomatoes in Tesco /supermarkets etc. that say something like 'grown in local nurseries' are grown at the sugar beat factory in glass houses 20ft high the plants are grown up stems so high they have to use a cherry picker to collect they are grown without soil in some kind of Coir fibre ......

Goodness...no wonder they taste so bland!!!....
