Its gorgeous Amy they have said this week on a documentary weired weather, prepare for bouts of drought and floods for the for seeable furture. They were not sure what is causing it but when looking back when we get sunspots on the sun this happens but this is lasting longer and said its not man made, which I queery, is it them taking too much oil out of the earth altering the balance hence our scientist making petrol from carbon dioxide and air also electric cars. On the health news a while ago bbc health it said they have no provern that inhaleing deisel fumes causes lung cancer and was warning people to stay away and on radio it stated if you live on a main road you are highly likely to die of a heart attack because of the petrol fumes doing some thing to our blood.

You are right about that Brian we don't know if we are coming or going with this weather ,it will be nice if it does Sandra , Oh my ! that sounds like all doom and gloom Sixpence I believe we have been through all sorts of different climatic conditions long before man set foot on this earth , I remember reading that one volcano can do more in one eruption than man could do in thousands of years .. but then again I do believe that inhaling all these chemicals must be bad for your health !
Thanks Carole the flowers are similar but very much smaller :o)

Is this of the Nerine family? I moved my Nerines last year, because they were choked with ground elder.
Some are flowering this year but not all of them.
Does anyone know their likes or dislikes on being moved??!!

No this isn't from the Nerine family Shirl this is a shrub , Nerines like well-drained soil in a sheltered spot in full sun , I made the mistake of planting some in the shade one year they didn't flower I've since moved them into a sunny spot and this year they have bloomed ... hope this helps :o)

Hope mine will improve, they have been beautiful before I moved them! They are still in a sunny place & I think it is well drained, never gets claggy.

Last year I bought 2 new bulbs called Nerine Codora , on the packet it looks to be a much darker almost red colour , nothing has grown this year I'm disappointed about that ,but all might not be lost I believe my OH might have been responsible because I found some bulbs sliced in half where he had been digging in the summer I collected them and put a good piece in a pot and it's def .shooting a green stalk fingers crossed it is the one I want it to be !!

All the best Amy, no doubt you have green fingers. Maybe OH hasn't!! Like mine!
