Loofah

Loofah

You can see some of the Oleander flowers......I don't mind that the loofah has covered the Oleander. Had the vet over twice last summer to save my dog, silly dog ate the leaves! The whole shrub is coming out this winter....don't want any more accidents.

There's a lot of fruit!

Oleander is very poisonous to dogs and humans!
With this being said: it's so very widely grown here.

Oleander is very commonly planted along freeways. It used to the median for virtually all freeways here in California. There's still about 50 miles of Oleander going from San Diego to the northern San Diego County Borderline on Interstate 5.

Amy:

Oleander is actually considered extremely poisonous. If the wood is burned the smoke is very toxic also.

Yes, it's extremely important to wash your hands, very well after handling this very toxic plant.
