Yes, I've put it in the cold greenhouse for the winter. Hope I'm doing the right thing, but have lost a couple of small ones before, they couldnt stand the winter. When it gets larger I will try leaving it out.

Well mine was like that Janey before it turned. Perhaps your weather hasnt been cold enough to turn it yet. Its probably ok. What size is yours, is it the same as mine.

Mines about 1ft tall Cinders, a baby as yet, ooh but I'm hoping it may yet get to turn this colour!

If its that small Janey you had better give it some protection through the winter I think. Good luck.

Stunning. None of mine go this colour, but I keep them in shade, so that's why I get less bright colours.

Thanks Karen, this one was in quite a bit of shade until I decided to protect it when frost was threatened and thought I'd better take a picture before i put it inside. Think I am being over protective having lost a couple to the cold weather.

The acers have been lovely this autumn. I leave a few leaves around for the hedgehogs. After not seeing any hedgehogs for well over a month I actually spied one in the garden last night.

Thats interesting Lindak, I haven't seen one in my garden for years. Probably there though, its just I don't go out there much at night to see them. The Acers have been very good this year I agree.
