They were up in the apple tree, but not for long! In the evening they were persuaded to go into a new hive!

I think they were hoping to move away, but the poor bees ended up back next door to where they came from!

Amazing photo, are these your own bees?

Yes they came out of one very crowded hive, so they were then persuaded to make their home in another one in the row!!

I think I would have watched from the safety of the house, Chris!

Ooooooh!! I wouldn't want to keep bees wildrose, even though they are so important!!
We've had them next door - both sides in the past, but the one chappie died and the other side got rid of them when the wife developed a bad allergic reaction to the sting. I can remember we were always getting swarms of bees buzzing about. A quick dash indoors if I was outside gardening when I heard them!!!

I am touching wood as I write this! Our bees seem to be a very gentle strain at the moment. We did have bees a number of years ago that really 'disliked' me and I had to keep well out of their way! It is John, my husband , who is the bee keeper - I just put the labels on the jars!!
