Garden bench with lichen

looks like camouflage! suppose cushins wouldn't do the lichen any good

It was very pretty though! Think I'd sit on the grass..

lol it does make a nice piece of artwork. how long did it take to get like that, and did it do it all itself, or did you help it along at all?

It's a friends bench Fran. About 4 years or more to get covered. Her Mum has a garden table which was covered in lichen. One day her husband cleaned it all off, she was furious!!

I bet she was! curse these "helpful" people! they mean well, but ... I've read that if you put natural yoghurt on planters etc it will encourage lichen (or was it moss?). Maybe she can reconstruct, giving it a bit of a starter for ten.

I've got lichen on my 8 year old shrubs..it's so very pretty.

Got to go and pay my online christmas present buying and clear my credit card! Then....off to the pet shop to return the memory foam dog beds which disintegrated within a week!

awk, poor dogs! and poor you having to go out in this weather.

lol one advantage of being a pagan, Christmas don't cost a penny.

Doggies all got new beds at no extra cost, am well pleased.
Not so pleased about Prudence's vet bill...it's a whopper :(

oooh, how is she?

She is on the mend thanks. Several stitches but infected bits all gone. Lots of TLC
