Happy New Year Paddy x hope Paul gets you the real thing this new year, hope he enjoys his bone Paul but there s nothing like the real thing.

Don't think Julie would be too keen on a greasy bone.....she prefers him to have the nylon sort! But it is lamb flavoured!

2 Jan, 2013

Lol Paul greasy well at least Paddy will get a taste of the best meat thats if of course its Welsh Lamb

Not so good last few days Dawn. Not interested in his toys.keeps shaking his head and seems off colour.Trouble is, when we give him Ear Drops he gets very upset and sulks!
Given him drops 3 days running and will leave for a couple days and see how he is.If still bad we'll have to take a trip to the vet!

7 Jan, 2013

I hope he is getting better Paul he has nt got that what he had before has he. Why does he have to have drops for his ears. Lol about Paddy sulking just like humans are nt they.

8 Jan, 2013

Kept shaking his head which seemed to suggest problem with his ears?it happened once a few years ago and the drops sorted it but it seems worse this time.trouble is, he hates the drops and hates us when we put them I. His ears! He's keeping away from us at moment.just keeps going upstairs and staying close to Lloyd.I'll give it a few more days then,if no better, take him to the vet's!

My daughters dog suffers terrible with that she shakes her head its her ears too, mites from the grass causes it, she too has drops gets it worse in summer, I tell her to keep the ears clean but don't go right down the canal just around the ear inside if you understand. Hope Paddy soon get well keep me posted wont you Paul x

9 Jan, 2013

Yes.I cleaned his ears with cotton bud the other day.A lot of muck so I thought drops might help clear that but it may be mites. These drops are supposed to kill the, as well, so, hopefully it'll clear up without visit to vet but we'll have to wait and see. It's horrible seeing him in discomfort but he hate us putting drops in as well.Shame you can't tell them it's for thei own good!

Yes I think mites like my daughters dog Paul lol they know its for their own good just like they understand food and walkies or to get out or to sit. My dog years ago understood when it escped if it knocked next doors letter box she would get the door open by my neighbour and treated with a cuppa tea.

10 Jan, 2013

Cup of tea?? blimey, Paddy's never had that. But he does like a drop of goat's milk! Water it down a bit!

11 Jan, 2013

Yep a cuppa tea, I was watching an old race up north with dogs a certain kind of dog forgot which breed, they trail a smelly rag covered in paraffin and some thing else they trail in for miles and when the dogs return back one woman gives her dog as a treat chicken mixed with pasta and a cuppa tea she said that breed loves tea of course milk is in the tea too like we take Paul haha. I have goats butter occationally the milk.

12 Jan, 2013

Dogs shouldn't have cows milk, of course ,although I know plenty who do.But, I have goats milk so I give Paddy some. It's said to be safe for dogs!

13 Jan, 2013

Yes goats milk is more healthy even for us humans Paul I did nt know dogs could nt drink cows milk, is that because of the fat, I know salt and chocolate is a no no to them and our veg has no goodness for them like us.

13 Jan, 2013

I don't honestly know why Dawn but I've heard it on many occasions!Lactose maybe?

13 Jan, 2013

Yes its most likely the Lactose, makes you wonder what they are sticking in our foods and why, as some humans have an alergic reation to Lactose too.

14 Jan, 2013

Yes,I'm allergic to all sorts of foods Dawn, dairy included!

14 Jan, 2013

Have you ever heard of the book written by Jeremy Paxton and his friend in the 70s called Killing in the highest order, about killing the human race by food. There was a discussion on the radio about it, one man said when he tried to re buy the book re written all of the food bit had been left out. He is now searching for the original one.

14 Jan, 2013

Not heard of that...but, to be fair, I'm not much of a reader. Can't really concentrate enough to read properly! It's horrid never to be able to sit and relax or absorb myself in a book but that's the way it is unfortunately!

14 Jan, 2013

Thats a shame Paul I have nt read it either heard the discussion on the radio about it.

14 Jan, 2013

Paddy is so cute he looks like he is enjoying his bone to :0)

19 Jan, 2013

Thanks, he seems to have kept his boyish looks! He's nearly 10 now but ,apart from a bit of grey around his snout, he still looks youngish. And he thinks he's still a puppy!!!!

19 Jan, 2013

Blimy, he dose look young you would never beleave he we 10 Bless :0)

20 Jan, 2013

Lovely Paddy :o)

26 Jan, 2013

He's still a good boy Tt, although a little cheekier as he gets older!!

26 Jan, 2013

Hope Paddy is better now Paul. I drink Goats milk and have the yogurt. I used to keep goats and am still using goats products. A customer at the till at Morrison's asked me about goats milk the other day. I was telling her about the benefits. I have to take Dusty our cat to the vet's on Monday for her yearly check up and jab. Not cheap is it, but when we have our pets we have to look after them don't we.

4 May, 2013

Paddy's just had some goat's milk(with some water) this morning!
People say it tastes horrible but I don't see that..I even drink it on it's own occasionally.

4 May, 2013

Goats milk is perhaps an acquired taste Paul perhaps a bit more acidic than cow's. I love it and it's supposed to be good for stomach disorders, asthma, and eczema. Some people are allergic to cows milk but the fat content is different in goats milk and doesn't separate so easily, that's why you don't see goats cream.
