Clematis 'Duchess of Edinburg'....Whats going on???

mild winter - my garden has lots of new foliage - but a colder forecast - BBC threaten snow - make sure it gets wrapped well :)))

Lots of buds on Hywel....i expect the weather to change and that will probably be the end of them....

Mine are like this Motinot I have buds on some ,very strange especially as it will soon be time to prune some of them ...

Weird isn't it? Nothing seems to know what time of year it is. Mind you, the light levels are low enough for anything to know its time to sleep! The temps have been the same all year in Scotland...10c give or take 1 or 2....soon wonder the plants are confused!

We have started to prune ours now, as they are growing away to quickly.

I seem to remember we were having a similar conversation last year, is it here we go again....mmm

I was a bit afraid to prune in case the weather got really bad...perhaps next month or March i'll give it the snip..Thanks all for the comments...:>)
