I'm sure they will Alex mine are popping up all over the garden and as you say so nice for this time of the year , the primrose seed it set along the sides of motorway verges here also cowslips the councils leave them to seed and then cut to collect the seed at a later date ,they look a picture when they are in bloom as you are driving along ....

Alex it is a lovely is it scented that colour often is.
However if its large flowered hybrid(as it looks) will probably need hand pollinating for it to set seed as your picture shows a thrum plant and would need some pollen from the the stamens pushed down in the middle of the flower with a small brush.
