Thanks - it's always the first Pulmonaria to flower, too.
9 Feb, 2013
A very pretty one Spritz and way, way in front of mine!
9 Feb, 2013
None of the others have flowers yet - except a tiny bud just opening on one of the 'ordinary' ones.
9 Feb, 2013
I like this one, does it stay clear pink? :-)
11 Feb, 2013
Yes - it stays that colour.
11 Feb, 2013
A very pretty one B...
14 Feb, 2013
It's always the earliest Pulmonaria to flower!
15 Feb, 2013
Another for the list:-)
15 Feb, 2013
Sorry about that. You should see mine! :-O
15 Feb, 2013
I havent seen any sign of mine :o( I hope I havent lost him.
But I'll enjoy looking at yours thankyou.
23 Feb, 2013
My Pulmonarias aren't as prolific as usual. They're hardy, so where are they? I'm waiting for my favourite one to appear - 'Blue Ensign'.
24 Feb, 2013
I cant find mine boohoo. the cold and wet has meant that many didnt keep leaves on all year.many of mine are starting from a root stock that is almost gone.
25 Feb, 2013
That's exactly what most of mine are like. Definitely boohoo!
25 Feb, 2013
I was given this one last year from a friend Barbara, but couldn't remember the colour. It's lovely. Can't wait for mine to flower now.
1 Mar, 2013
I hope it does, as it's a pretty one. :-))
2 Mar, 2013
Another one I have not seen before, do you still have this one B? we have quite a large collection of Pulmonaria, just looking for the out of the ordinary now......
27 Jan, 2015
I want to know if you still have it too as it's on my 'little' list:-))
28 Jan, 2015
It was just toooooo cold and windy to go on a Pulmonaria hunt yesterday, but I hope it's still there...
29 Jan, 2015
I lost mine but know I have been reminded of it I will look for another one.
29 Jan, 2015
Cotswold Garden Flowers has David Ward, they are a very good company which also delivers. Having looked at their catalogue (fatal mistake) there are more pulmonarias I want. Bob Browns favourite is Diana Clare he says ..."seven months of long silvered apple-green foliage in graceful rosettes preceded by large purple flowers Feb-May" sounds good to me:-) They also have a seedling of Opal (one of my faves ) called Nimes which has large open violet-blue flowers Feb-May another I want:-)
29 Jan, 2015
You're not thinking of spending more money, are you, Ba? :-O
30 Jan, 2015
Yes:-) sometimes I half hope that I lose some plants so I can justify buying new ones lol. I do have room in my north border though:-)
30 Jan, 2015
I've just been on Bob Brown's website and not as many pulmonarias as in the catalogue:-(
30 Jan, 2015
Typical! I was thinking of planting some in the new area where the Escallonia came out, but it's too early for GCs to have them in stock.
31 Jan, 2015
There are a few places that have them, I'll google and let you know who has the best selection:-)
31 Jan, 2015
Thanks. :-) I'd like a raspberry pink one like Dd's. Can't remember its name. :-/
1 Feb, 2015
Well that's a big help lol:-)
1 Feb, 2015
Your wish is my command:-) either Pierres Pure Pink or Redstart ...I'll have a look at them:-)
1 Feb, 2015
Haha, I've just bought David Ward along with Diana Clare and, one I've wanted for ages, Blakes Silver, Cotton Cool, and Leopard. That's all for pulmonarias. Also bought cardamine quinquefolia and polygonatum (lost mine). I have bought them from Bluebell Cottage Gardens Nursery and including delivery only £36. Some are only 9cm pots and some 1ltr pots. I've used this nursery before and was very happy with them. That should sort out makeover of far end of north border. I think I can split brunnera Looking Glass and Jack Frost this time too. Sorry Barbara, they don't sell the two in above comment:-)
1 Feb, 2015
Hmmmph!! Mind you, I think Brunneras might 'go' in my border, so thanks for mentioning them. :-)
2 Feb, 2015
B.Looking glass has a beautiful, totally silver leaf, but is not as vigorous as Jack Frost, there are new ones too, but I've forgotten their names:-)
3 Feb, 2015
I think I might have both of those, Ba. I hope the GCs start getting plants in SOON. At the moment, their shelves are very bare. :-(
4 Feb, 2015
That's why I buy on line:-)
4 Feb, 2015
Have you seen Brunner's Alexanders Great? Google it:-)
4 Feb, 2015
I love Brunnera, will take a look at that one, we bought lots of new Pulmonarias last year, some lovely ones with silver leaves, waiting to see if they all come up before we buy any more.....
5 Feb, 2015
It's the silver leaves that attract me too Dd, have you got p. Silver bouquet?
6 Feb, 2015
Yes I have BA.....also Silverado,Cotton Cool, and Majestee, all beautiful silver leaves........the one Barbara likes my pink is called rubra and also redstart very early has been out a month now!!
6 Feb, 2015
Which silver leaf do you think has the best flower to compliment it?:-)
6 Feb, 2015
Opal? Majestee?
I really must try to track down Dd's pink ones.
9 Feb, 2015
Now I've ordered p. Victorian Brooch among other things. Why doesn't someone stop me?:-)
9 Feb, 2015
I've given up trying, Ba. :-/
11 Feb, 2015
P. David Ward, p.Victorian Brooch and erythronium Pagoda arrived today. I used to have pagodas in my old garden, can't think why I had none here:-)
11 Feb, 2015
Pagodas??? Err...did you live in a mansion with acres of garden, Ba? LOL. It all sounds like a Japanese garden...
Seriously, I like E. 'Pagoda' and I have two which are very reliable. :-)
12 Feb, 2015
Lol Barbara, you'd be amazed at what I had in my old garden:-)) I've got quite a lot of plants now waiting in the garage to be potted up/on including some scabious and geraniums. Ordered some candelabra prims yesterday too, what shall I order today?:-)
12 Feb, 2015
My big silver leafed one (will have to check which variety) is flowering, I noticed it yesterday.....
16 Feb, 2015
Ooooh take a pic:-)
16 Feb, 2015
BA when it stops raining, and I can crawl under the tree, I will lol
19 Feb, 2015
That's the spirit:-)
19 Feb, 2015
I have put you a pic on BA.....I took my life in my hands crawling under the trees lol
23 Feb, 2015
I tracked down some Pulmonarias last week, and bought three 'Raspberry Splash'. They're (obviously) pink ones, but not as lovely as the one Dd has.
1 Mar, 2015
The grass is always greener.... :-)
1 Mar, 2015
I suppose...
2 Mar, 2015
I have sent you a pm Barbara.....
2 Mar, 2015
Thanks - I answered it! :-)
4 Mar, 2015
Barbara did we establish whether you still had David Ward? is your Blue Ensign out yet?....... I had two of these and I can just about make out two inches of growth, that could possibly be BE
9 Mar, 2015
My blue ensign is flowering, but small, no sign of my Brunneras though:-(
9 Mar, 2015
David Ward seems to have vanished, Dd, sadly. Boo hoo!
Blue Ensign - all the plants are up and doing well. :-)) I put five in when I revamped the ex-pear tree area and they look lovely with Tete a Tete and yellow primroses.
10 Mar, 2015
You must pop a pic on that combination sounds lovely, sorry you have lost David Ward....
10 Mar, 2015
I thought I had...I'll take another one.
