oh look at him ! he is beautiful!

Beautiful birds. I only ever see them in my garden when there is snow/ice on the fields!

It is a wonder why, after all the time we've been here, they've decided to arrive. It's cold but no snow at the moment. Hope they stay. They don't seem to mind me and the dogs rushing by either!

Lucky you...hopefully they'll stay a while!

We get as little flock of them from time to time, but have never managed to get a photo.

3 of them still staying around sharing the bird feeder with a dozen goldfinch, 1 wagtail (v. bossy!) a bullfinch and it's mate. A couple of dozen sparrows and a brace of very fat wood pigeon!

There are 5 or 6 now...so excited! The wagtail is bossing them about though!!

the squirrel got rid of a great tit today but there havent been many birds at all

I noticed that Sticki, on one day when it was very dull and overcast, I didn't see one bird all morning!! I could hear a couple of doves cooing, but not in sight. I have had more since - seem to be a lot of greenfinches at the moment.

I have been trying to get a picture of one of these little gems for two weeks now but they are just to fast

The ones we have here seem to be very tame. They don't mind us wandering about the kitchen, they just keep feeding.Excellent for taking pics of them. This is the first time I've ever seen them. They are so very pretty!
