Thanks Paul / Sheila , Carole I put those Sems in any gaps I have to fill in I shall probably regret it because they spread so !

Amy - I love Sems, but only have mine in a gravel bed so they don't spread. How do yours do it on their own? (I know . . . another silly question . . . :))

No sign of my Camassia this year Amy....

It's not a silly question Sheila , I have my original ones in a border of soil the new baby ones grow about 6" or more away from the parent plant I dig them up and then either re-pot them or re-plant them somewhere else , the one you can see in this photo is one I re-planted ,this one happens to be in gravel so it will be interesting to see if like yours which you say is in gravel doesn't send out side shoots of new ones , therefore it would mean they need to be in soil rather than gravel to sent out new ones , does that make any sense LOL ...
I wonder why that is Anita perhaps they became water logged ,oh dear another casualty :o(

Thanks very much Amy. Maybe I have missed something, but I shall have a closer look tomorrow if it has stopped raining then!

Hi Amy ... pretty photo :o)

Had a closer look, Amy, and I DO have a little Sem hiding under its Mum. As there is a membrane under the stones, it could be tricky getting it out, but I'll have a go as a friend would love one. (It'll be interesting to see if it's a side shoot or a seedling: just hope it will have roots!)

Thanks TT , that's good news Sheila they are usually runners with roots on them and seem easy to pot up and grow on ,I've seen several in nursery recently and they are quite expensive they must make a fortune if they are growing their own ...

A beautiful sight, have just bought a variegated one, and looking forward to seeing it in flower, if it survives this wind!!
