My favourite Butterfly! we have seen a couple flitting around the garden;0)

They are lovely,Amy..and Carole,I haven't seen one in the garden till this year..but they are very welcome :o)

Good photo Bloomer. We had a Peacock butterfly resting on the birdbath and it seemed to be enjoying the warmth from the sun. Their colouring is fantastic.

Thanks Lindak,you can almost feel them enjoying the warmth,can't you? ..My bird bath seems to be out of favour lately with anything apart from the odd Bee floundering..which I'm glad to say I saw them in time..so scooped them out ..aah :o)

Gerry made our bird bath from two pieces of stone. The centre was a grindstone, we found both bits on the land when we had the smallholding.

That was lucky,Lindak,and saved you a fair bit.:o)

Nothing but white Butterflies today .... plus some horrible flying ants about an hour ago ... thunderstorm forecast for tomorrow ... well, on a Bank Holiday weekend it's to be expected I guess ... :o(

We had those flying ants a couple of weeks ago,Shirley..just awful ,aren't they..? lots of the little ants trying to get over the doorstep too..no chance!..they suffered the same fate as your snails..double foot stamp remedy ! Lol ..
