Thank you everyone, it isn't that spectacular Rose. lol :O) I am happy with it though it has done so well without much looking after now, which is how it should be I suppose. :O)

It's amazing how the yellow lights up the scene...I am really learning to love yellow! I wish I could take my golden Cotinus with me...it's marvellous. I'll definitely be getting another one. And I'm also thinking of Havinf a couple of golden euonymus standard balls in the sale. That golden garden at Crathes has really made me rethink the whole yellow thing, it affected me so deeply...it was like walking in to a different world....so much LIGHT!!

Karen - There is a lot of yellow you can buy to brighten up a place. I do love Rudbekkia and it lasts for ages too. The Golden Rod never lasts long but is always lovely when it is here. It has gone now.

Rose you are so kind :O) but honestly I do not think it is that special, too much and too many plants I think sometimes. lol. But eh I wanted a full garden and that is what I have. I am thinking of taking out a lot of the Lysimachia though, it is taking over and it chokes things up.

Lysimachia is a thug isn't it. More rudbeckia Mum! :)

I do like Rudbekia, I have lots of it dotted around, in fact some that was planted in one place and never appeared has shown up in another. I have a really tall one too, it is about 7 ft tall. They are so nice at this time of year. :O)

We have one about that high at the castle...pure yellow with very lush green leaves...it's stunning, but we don't know the name of it.

sorry cannot help I have lost the label, will look and see if it has fallen and got buried in the soil, when I do the border out later on this autumn.

Haha! Just found the aquilegia and 'tutu' seeds mum! Was packing stuff and found them in a safe place! ;)
