It's different, Bloomer...Mine has purple stems...and quite pale flowers, which do look great with the dark stems. But, I want to plant as many different ones as I can get in my sun-roasted border, coz I'm really fed up with the endless watering. I love the colour of your flowers...do you think it might be called "Autumn Joy"?

It is Autumn joy,Karen..Resi has kindly told me,via your blog ! :o) I hope you find one,as it really is a good one..and if you see a small spreading variety, called Purple Emperor, you would love that too....dark foliage ,which would be a lovely contrast to your gravel..hardy too ..I posted a pic a while ago..I will let you know the page,in case you might want to take a look..my all time favourite now..
Found it..page 1, first photo on row four...x

This looks super Bloomer! When I lived at home (many years ago now) I had a tortoise called Timmy! He loved to munch his way through these sedums. Every year it came up but was always eaten back before it managed to grow tall or even flower!
