'Fragrant Delight' Rose.

Its Gorgeous, is this the one you gave me cutting of? they are getting quite big now but havent flowered as yet! something to look forward to though;0)

Thanks Carole,and yes it is..It probably will next year,I'm sure..My cuttings were about three years before they flowered properly,as they just had an odd one,but nothing special..I gave them a second feed after the first flowers finished,so it has done it's job :o)

I haven't had any Aphids to speak of ,this year Carole..but I have had some black spot..but I just take the affected leaves off. I don't like spraying...

Lovely rose Bloomer, you grew it from a cutting? I'm thinking of taking cuttings of mine any tips on method greatfully received! :o)

Thank you,Neellan..I tried three, and they all took ok..so easy to do..but you have to be patient..I just cut healthy new straight stems about 12" in length..and stuck them at the back of a border in a shady place,about half their depth,and waited...I left them in situ for a couple of years,till I thought they had started making a root system..then planted them where I wanted them...Slanting cut at the top,straight edge to the bottom,so you know which way up to plant them after you have cut the stems ! ..which is what I didn't do with the first lot I cut :o) It's the ideal time now to try it,while the soil is still warm..good luck :o)

You timed that nicely Val,and thank you :o) Have a go,what have you got to lose? You only throw the prunings away, ..I cut mine halfway back in November anyway,so might as well try some now,before it's too late..

I have only just realised,that this photo is from one of the cuttings..The parent Rose is next to it,but waiting in the wings to take over,as regards second flowering..so see what yours could be like,girls :o)

That is pretty and I suppose it smells devine? I haven't the patience to wait for cuttings to take, I keep buying roses:-))

It does smell divine,Ba..and what is it they say about patience is a virtue? Lol..not always true,I say from experience :o)

I took 9 cuttings from 3 of my roses Bloomer along with other shrubs so it remains to be seen how they all do :o)
