A basket of white hyacinths.

I love the perfume, unfortunately they make me sneeze.

I like them too, but I just wish they weren't so heavy and fall over - I don't like seeing green sticks holding them up as if they were drunk! :D

I know just what you mean!! They look fine for a while and then suddenly.......flop!

You can support them using green floristry wire. Just push the wire down among the flowers, close to the stem...almost invisible..a trick I learned on the telly!

yes, I have to keep them outdoors too...they make me feel a bit nauseous after a while.

Thank you for the tip about the florist's wire. I do agree that their scent is very powerful and not to everyone's taste. I think the white ones have less scent than other colours .

Would you believe it,Chris..I was bought a box containing a glass vase, pebbles ,and 3 Hyacinth bulbs to plant up,tonight,,and another box with a pink Amaryllis . lovely thoughtful gifts to cheer me up this week,from Alison's partner..wasn't that so nice? I did feed him,.it was.the least I could do :o)

Lovely, must buy some. I planted last years in the garden, and the years before. They flower beautifully:-)

I love them...as long as they are outdoors. The front doorstep is a great place for them!

Very pretty ... my M-in-law has a single bulb growing in a glass container at the home where she lives ... she's loving watching the roots growing more than the top of it ... :o)
