Great to see ,Amy..I have a yellow one that has just opened today,in a pot..wonder if this colour is generally the first to appear ? Lots of catkins on a tree behind our fence too..and the Roses are like yours, still healthy lower leaves on..the tops have been pruned back, but lots of new growth showing..no buds though..what a weird winter !

I have a white one out today although The yellow crocus's do generally seem to come first Sandra they are the ones the birds are attracted to they have fun pulling the petals off , little monsters !!

You have crocus?!!!! How I envy you, we have just had another winter storm...about 6 inches of snow this time. and the average temps for the month of January have been extremely low. It was minus 35 degrees. C. this morning. Our backdoor froze shut! Thanks for posting your crocus!

Oh Lori ! how do you survive it ? you must come and stay with me in the winter , what a strange world we live in , too hot / too cold / flooded in other other parts I suppose that is what makes the world go round .... keep that fire going and keep warm :o) x

I keep looking for the silver linings, Amy. We received another 8 inches of snow last night! The man who plows out driveways around here will be able to take his wife on a world tour next spring! The winds are brutal, whipping the powdery snow into drifts and blasting it into cracks and crevices...I'm fed up already and it's only January 27th! this will be a deadly winter for some of the wildlife, I'm afraid. still feeding the birds and deer, but no sign of the turkeys this week.
