I live very close to a country house estate, where they
breed and shoot, pheasant, they often seek refuge in my garden in the shooting season; the only shooting I do is with my camera!

We use to have a regular one we called him Charlie he spent many years in our garden during the winter , we haven't seen him for a couple of years I'd like to think he succumbed to old age rather than the shoots !

We have one visit too he's come for a few years now, pecks on the patio window for food and doesn't bat an eye when our cat stalks him through the window lol, we call ours Phil Amy, he was making a right noise the other day looked out to see there was another younger looking male eating his peanuts!!!! Phil was not happy.
