Thank you.
The terrace is big enough for everybody. Just jump on the plane and come on down. I am sure the lizard will not mind :-)

I have a little gecko (Vietnamese Golden) as a pet...it's been so cold this winter that he's sticking close to his hot rock. We're still freezing over here...wish we had some of that warmth. Are you on the Gulf side or the Pacific side, Klahanie?

Hi Lorilyn, We have little geckos running on the hot stone walls. You keep yours inside I assume.
We are in Mexican highlands (elevation 5000) on the Pacific side. I do not like the humid hot air on the coast Lorilyn.

We hear a lot of tales of how Mexico is not safe for Canadian touristas... and banditos in the mountains above Puerto Vallarta...or is that 90's news?

16 Feb, 2014

It is somewhat true. The new age banditos are the police trying to get some bribes. You have to know the safe spots ...and there are some. Some people also leave their manners at the border, which is not well received here. And of course very dangerous to get involved with the drug industry here.

Have heard lots about Costa Rica and thought it might be interesting to take a vacation there to check it out. It looks like you're in a wonderful area weather wise...are you suffering with the same drought problems as California and New Mexico, Nevada and Arizona?

This area has a different weather pattern Lori.
Dry in the winters and rains in summer. Hottest months April and May with sand storms and lots of smoke in the air as all farmers are burning corn fields before rains come. Rain comes usually mid June pouring at nights (with sunny days) til September. But I heard that last summer was drier than usual.

There doesn't seem to be a spot on this old globe that isn't in the grip of strange weather. :-( Glad that your part of Mexico is status quo.
