Daphnes on March 1st

The only Daphne still visible is the top of Carol Mackie. I dug it out in January to make sure the branches were supported and wouldn't break under snow and ice. I miss seeing my Daphnes, I'm ready for Spring! Hopefully all the water from melted snow won't kill them all off.

Today was the warmest day yet but at least temps are close to freezing again and not 30 degrees below! Some of the snow has started to melt but we usually get another big snow storm toward the end of March and sometimes in mid-April. The snow in this picture has been there since the beginning of January, I can't wait to see grass again haha
