Shame I didn't spot the footnote that said . "DO NOT INSTALL IN WINDY LOCATIONS", prior to buying it. :~((

Hi Terra and Angie, I dont know about 'back to school' it was definitely back to the 'drawing board' .. not one of our most successful projects. I didn't say "ooooo er" ... when I saw it one morning .... what I did say was ....... not repeatable.

Nice to see Bonsai likes our photos, that's a lovely photo Terra.

Thanks Alan :o)))

That wasn't in the plan! I have had a similar experience with our gazebo & a freak 'squall' one august. Mae a right mess!

We have gone for a must more robust option .... So far so good.

Uh - oh, what a shame (but I'm afraid I did chuckle, Alan - thanks for putting up the pic!). Do you read the instructions first, these days?!

Oh Dear such a shame, hope your new is proving wind proof;0)

lol....that would have happened here too! You did rather well to get 12 months out of it, I reckon it would last a week here! ;))

Hi Sheila and Karen, I am so glad my misfortune brought a smile to you faces ...... If either of you would like to buy it, I've still got all the bits ! One thing I have tried to do in my lifetime is "never make the same mistake twice". Our latest gazebo came (would you believe), with 24 x 10 inch nails to secure it to the ground ... Not much good on a patio. Still it weighs a tonne and doesn't move in the winds ... So far so good. {:~)}

Hi Carole, so far so good with the new one. Time will tell.

Oh! Whoops a Daisy. Hope your new one is stronger as we are in for Hurricane winds today in our neck of the woods so I have taken the Patio Umbrellas down & the top part to the swinging hammock, I'm hoping it misses us, at the moment we have rain but the wind is not much, had some thunder but not too bad, they say it will get worse later, do hope they are wrong. I would like my hubby to concrete some post in the ground round the fishpond so I could put a sail across the fishpond as with umbrellas they tend to end up coming out in winds, Ha! Even ending up next door LOL <)%-)

Hi Jackie, we treated ourselves to a new gazebo for our 25th wedding anniversary, 2 years ago. It can be seen in photo no.4. Much heavier and stronger....... so far so good.
