Purple Primula Denticulata..

Very nice Sandra....I seem to have a lot of purple in the garden at the moment, love the colour of this one.

A very early morning,Val..too early ! :o( It was a bit frosty here too,but warming up nicely now..:o)

I love these and used to have a few in different colours but only have the purple ones left now. Perhaps the others are more delicate and tender?

That's a beauty isn't it. I have had one for about three years now, and it has got smaller and smaller. Maybe its not had enough attention !

Hi Cinders,nice to see you again,and thank you..I wonder if that is why my white ones aren't as good this year? I have had them such a long time..probably they need splitting again,as the flower heads are quite small,like yours..

Really pretty colour. My white ones were a bit of a no-show this year but the mauve were good and the claret have been even better.

Definitely,Dd..They were originally in my long border,but for some reason they didn't do well at all,so I moved them to the back...It's the first time they have flowered so well..so who knows why? judging by comments above,I'm not on my own this year..

Hi Sandra, very pretty, wonderful colour ...... and a cracking photograph. <]:~)) You certainly have found the right location for it. Funnily enough we planted a Rhodi in our garden, 15 years ago ... It did nothing for 5 years until we moved it ... We will have to take drastic action next year, as it is now far too big for the garden.

Thank you Alan,they have sent out a few more flowers now,and look so nice..I shall nurture the two I have,and wait till they are big enough to split..I hope you resolve your Rhodi dilemma,such a shame if you can't keep it..I don't have any,so I don't have that problem..

I was only thinking of a light shaping, I wasn't going to take the chainsaw to it .... "Happy Gardening".
