Do you wear gloves, Sbg? I do, but the ends of the fingers wear out very fast.

only If I know there are nettles or slugs about. The rest of the time I don't. I have relatively small hands and short fingers so I find I cant get a good enough fit.

I don't know how you keep clean nails, then. Magic?

soap under the nails then I find washing my hair cleans them up nicely too.

Or making bread? LOL.
