Thirsty Bee ?

I tried to get a picture of some this morning on the ceonothus but they wouldn't stay still long enough :-)

Kathy, I was lucky, as you correctly say, they don't often stay still long enough. I did sneak up on this one ....... lol.

You need to wait until they are engrossed and drunk on nectar Alan. Great shot!

Thank you Annie and Carole ... Right place at right time ... and I had my camera with me. It is very hard though, gardening with a camera round your neck ... lol <]:-))

Plants emit guttation droplets (source of morning dew) in the early morning which bees love! they leave hives early in morning to drink it..
