lovely roses Hywel, they have been so good this year with great perfume too. This rain will ruin them though although the earth needs the water doesn't it.

hi hywel, we had some rain last night and earlier this morning but the worst of the weather is further west. I did see some lightning in the night but nothing compared to what some people have had.

The forecast last night for this area, was for severe thunder storms, but there have been none. It's quite calm at the moment, although rather cloudy.
The air feels muggy and thick. I think a storm would freshen the place up :)

we had a good storm at tea time yesterday, like a light show.....one bolt must have hit quite close as the lightning was very bright, with immediate very loud thunder.

It can be frightening when it's as near as that.
We've just had it hot and sunny :(
