Thank you all for comments, the first snowdrop opened today will wait a few days for some more to catch up then will take a picture.

I take it that it's galanthus reginae-olgae?

WOW! I've never seen a Snowdrop in October before! In my mum's garden I was very surprised to see a clump that flowered before Christmas!

oh, lovely! reminds me that i planted a lot of crocus, though can't remember if autumn-flowering. must do a close ground-search!

at least your plants tell us that summer is defintely over! :-)

I haven't seen my autumn flowering crocus at all . I suspect they have rotted off as they went into a shady bit it now gets a lot of run off from the conservatory :o(

Colchicums outside seem late putting in an appearance or is it me inpatient, the only one in flower are a few new ones added this year.

C. autumnale is in flower for me, but not others yet. Perhaps the rain here will trigger them into growth.

my C speciosum is done and dusted :o( didn't last long this year sadly.

had a look around; no crocus seem to be showing, so mine must all be the other type, sigh
