That is so beautiful, Annella. How does your lovely golden Choisya manage to be undamaged by the frost? Do you protect it? Mine gets cut down by it each year.

I never have a problem with the Choisya Gattina, not many plants do like that corner though :o)

That choisya really lights up the corner. My garden looks sodden and messy, yours looks lovely:-)

It's strange - we have not even had any frost yet, or even much rain, and my Choisya already looks a sad, wilting mess. I've already moved it twice in the garden (once to a sunnier spot to maintain its colour, which was successful), and I'm not sure where to try next. Each summer sees it spring back to health, but I'd love it to look good through Winter, too. Annella, what is that in the pot? It's a really nice shape, and if it's something that will survive winter unprotected, so much the better.

I have several Choisyas around the garden Gattina, some are growing in permanent shade but all are in heavy clay. They are great for brightening dark corners. The plant in the pot is Phormium 'Yellow Wave' :o)

I guessed it might be a phormium: I'd love to grow them but they'd never survive our mountain winters (although we seem to have a pause on the really cold stuff for now - unlike you poor souls in the UK). I do hope you are all managing to stay warm and dry.
