Put multi coloured lights on them at Christmas, bought from a very well known German supermarket at a ridiculous price compared to the GCs!!

I too like those well known German supermarkets .... They're certainly giving the big four a run for their money. Not so good for the farmers, especially their milk prices.
Your conifers look good in the pots ... amazing what GC's charge per foot for a nice fresh Christmas tree ...... frightening really. Our artificial one, works out at about £1 a foot ... lol

Nice to see so much green in winter. Weather here a bit dreary at present!

I prefer smaller plants, they're cheaper and it's fun to watch them grow - if they do! larger plants have already got past the "baby" stage.

They look very nice and healthy regardless of the cheap price. I think Garden Centres and Nurseries probably need to specialise in more unusual/rare/difficult to propagate plants as they really can't compete with a lot of the supermarkets.
Morrisons also do some very healthy plants at very good prices most autumns and springs!

How strange some kind of delayed action , my first message didn't go through at all and then was repeated !!! :o(

lol I'm trying to avoid seeing plants that I mgiht want, to the extent that I'll shade my eyes if going past a high street shop! I need to work out my garden plan and then buy plants to fit, rather than buy a plant and then wonder where it's to go.
Hope to see pics and progress reports on these lovelies!

Lovely trees, are you keeping them in pots or are they going to be planted out into the garden?

Lindak, not decided yet, possibly keep in pots and use at Christmastime...
Fran we shouldn't be buying any more plants, the poor house needs some money spending on it!!
Paul I have to agree with you re more unusual plants, Morrison's do have some excellent plants too.
HB we were very lucky to buy these at such a good price...l have the app on my phone and tablet so I know whats for sale in their store each week!
Alan our weekly shopping bill has been reduced drastically since using a German Supermarket.
Feverfew we do grow a lot of evergreen plants so the garden stays reasonably green although the winter..
Amy my tablet sometimes is a little erratic......
