Walking stick bug

Fascinating ... and quite large !

Thanks Terra, :-) First time for me to see it. I usually see it on nature TV programs from South America but first time in real life.

Was there just the one, or several others nearby ?

Just this one. It was in the same spot for all day. They are very slow moving. Have not seen it since.

I'm glad you took the opportunity to photograph this one.

What does this bug eat?

It is so slim....:-(

They are are herbivorous, feeding mostly on the leaves of trees, Katarina. That is what we should be eating to be slim:-)

That's a very neat looking bug. I wouldn't want one in my yard, though. I get enough with the bugs that eat my plants, already. lol!

That is true, Klahanie. I have never seen vegetarian, who was obese.
