Dotty
Never heard that before the one you are looking at is in a pot and deadhead that for appearance, there are others in the garden 2/3 years old not out yet but my opinion is that with a double flower not setting seed when it becomes soaking wet it would be likely to rot the whole plant.
Sounds like a growers way of selling more plants.
also look at PCW, Pottertons Daphne Betty Anderson I know they are only two years from cuttings but that is tiny.

Wells bought last Autumn there are many coloured doubles all marketed under the name Belarina.I have a colbat blue one I posted a picture some weeks ago that is similar quality.
They are available from many nurseries and garden centres in the UK.
Googled to see if there were Any suppliers in the USA but did not come up with any. I would have thought there would be a few suppliers around you.
Pretty sure they are micropropagated as pollen in them is very scarce so even mixed seed of this strain is unlikely.
Do you know of <the Real Canadian Superstore>Think they may be in North America as well they have vast breeding facilities and are interested in Primulas.
Will tell you another time How I know that.
Brian
