the LOTV is just emerging here...as are the bluebells. We're really behind the season...but a few days of sun and a couple of nights without frost and POW! everything is doing it's thing. I have a pic of the little hillock that the LOTV has taken over... it looks so barren compared to all the gardens on here.

The wood is a perfect place for it Kathy we have a local wood where it grows wild the scent is heavenly ... I'm eagerly looking forward to hearing the Bluebells are blooming Lori , guess what its 3 years & 3 months since you sent me the Arisaema triphyllum bulbs they are at long last uncurling a flower I'm hoping to very soon be able to put a photo on here for you to see :o))

I simply love these Amy. I wish I would have a whole forest of them instead of vinca.

That's exciting, Amy! I'll stay tuned!
Klahanie: I like vinca but have been trying to get it to establish since we moved here... you've reminded me to go and have a look.

It might not be so invasive in your climate Lori. I am amazed how well it grows here , even in completely dark dry places.

I do like these Amy, but am sorry to say that when we moved here 2 years ago, they had completely taken over my borders letting nothing else through, so had to go ! It took ages to clear them ! As it is a smaller garden than I'm used to, I needed the space !

I love them but unlike Rose we just cannot get them to grow at all!

When we were in France last week, I bought a bunch at one of the markets and was so pleased with them.

They do seem to have a mind of their own Rose / Chris I tried for years to get them to grow in an area I wanted them to be in without success I finally moved them a couple of years ago they are much happier and are thriving now ...lucky you buying a bunch in France Chris I hope they lasted until you came home :o)
