I found one in my conservatory today & it's the only one I have seen this year. We opened all the windows wide so it could go outside. Last week a dove flew in - really made me jump.

Oh, I don't like birds indoors, Greenfinger. OH has to deal with them - I am such a wimp!

Lovely to see the Peacock butterfly. We've hardly had any butterflies in the garden.

Neither do I, Spritz, but my OH doesn't get home till after 6pm so I have to deal. Anyway, he's a big wimp so not a lot of help, lol.
Today, a sparrow came in, fortunately it found its way out again almost straight away.

I would have left the room...

Lovely to see a Peacock butterfly resting so quietly & soaking up the summer sunshine! :-))
I haven't seen nearly as many butterflies around this year as other years. :-(( Peacocks are normally very common on the allotments but I've seen only a couple this year. Even the Great & Small Whites seem to be scarce around here this year.
The Buddleias here have practically no butterflies this year so can't live up to their name of 'Butterfly bush' :-(( There aren't many bees on them either, yet I notice that Lavender flowers attract lots of them!

Still no painted ladies, usually common here. Very few other butterflies, as you say, Balcony. :-(

Super Inula. I like their huge leaves. Good to see butterfly enjoying.

I wish I had been able to photograph all of them, Dawn - it was quite a sight! :-))

Must have been a wonderful sight.

I have only seen one in our garden this year ... and that one had a 'nibbled' wing! Good to know they are in abundance in your garden :o)
