Created by Tom Stuart-Smith, one of my favourite garden designers, his use of colour and texture is divine....I am using this as my wallpaper, to inspire me..

I just googled 'tom stuart smith gardens' and clicked on the 'images' tab. Garden heaven! Some of my favourite Chelsea gardens and all unforgettable. What a talent! To be honest, I hadn't realised quite how much I like his gardens. Did you see the tulips at Broughton Grange? So imaginitive!

Karen he has been the top man in my eyes for many years, although not having been to Chelsea I follow the garden planting avidly on the net, saving the photos of my favourites also downloading the list of the plants used, his website is awesome isn't it?
Meadow I wish!! If we had the room it would be on my to do list lol
Resi your welcome, such talent! drool away !!???

Absolutely beautiful.

Where do you find the lists of plants he uses? Or do you just recognize them from the photos?

It is heavenly and when I first saw it I thought it WAS your garden!

I see you have found the little pictures! That's good!

Siri it certainly is, a lot of my favourite plants are in that garden......
Resi in the past Crocus, also look for list of plants used at Chelsea flower show 2000 whatever, most of them I do recognise but it is usually the Alliums that cause me grief!
Hb romantic is the right word, along with magical! and with me it is space that prohibits me having a go lol
Wildrose I would love it to be our garden, it is now a wallpaper on my mobile!!
The little pictures were added using my tablet, I still cannot find how to add them when on my iMac!! very frustrating lol

Wow, what a wonderful show, Dotty. TSS is one of my favourites too . . . never forgotten the garden he designed with 'lime' grasses, purple flowers and copper artefacts (poss Chelsea 2008?). I hadn't thought of looking on his website, but will definitely do that today - thanks!

I remember it well Sheila because I love the use of copper in the garden, at this years Malvern Spring show they had used copper, in fact I tok several photographs because I was so impressed....

I love the Eryngiums, such an intense blue to the whole plant.

it looks fantastic, doesnt it ...yet, they are all very common and easy to grow plants. it's just having that wonderfdul ability to combine them to their best effect as here!

Wow!!!

Paul you are so right just common plants, but being able to make them all work together is the genius!!
Wow indeed Kathy!! one of these days..

Gorgeous, love it but looking at all those perennials I guess the bed looks bare in winter and spring, your beds are much more varied DD ?

14 Oct, 2015

Dawn that is kind of you, and yes it would be very bare unless he has planted bulbs etc for the spring?

15 Oct, 2015

?. Maybe we will find out next spring. I wish I was brave enough to have a bed without the backbone of shrubs, trees.
