In another two or possibly three weeks, weather providing, this will find its way to my Annie Sloaned flower pot, the new colour is very pretty.....

OH has just potted it on, Siris this was one of the plants I sent to France for, has overwintered in the conservatory....... has fared better than outside in a cold wet border!

I like the oval frame. I think it's a good photo. I love those dark heucheras. I have mixed success with them.

Thanks Karen, it is a lovely plant...... I am sure it will Lindak, won't be long!
Melch, it is the lime/lemon ones we have trouble with...

Yes, I think they might be bad for me too. I have manged to hang on to a couple of dark ones. They are all so attractive!

I always despair of mine in spring. Some always die and most look dreadful. But then I think back to November/December, when they were fantastic and kept colour and flower going in my garden until the bad frosts. They are worth persevering with, but some are definitely hardier than others. Frosted violet has looked good all winter here, and still looks tidy now. I find the dark ones are the best generally, for hardiness.

Karen it is rust that we have problems with, also VW's, and this year snails!! I take on board Vicky's advice, remove, cut back, spray and put back deeper (if planted in the borders) or new compost, if in pots.....I am thinking of buying more Tiarella, I do like the Heucherellas, and have several now, but they are all Vw fodder, unless treated!!???

Yes, its always rust that gets mine too. I dont like plants that are overly susceptible to diseases...but there are so many, including my beloved roses and clematis. And after the VW has finished munching your Pulmonarias the mildew will be all over it next! Lol...sometimes gardening is tough to take! :)

K you have to be an optimist to be a gardener, have just had to remove a 6ft about to flower Ceanothus, which was blown out of the ground.......with last nights storms.....more wood for next years fire !!
