Its not the weight Sheila although obviously that hasn't helped its always grown out sideways I'm guessing when it was younger it was probably trying to reach the light away from the Holly trees ,Thanks Carole Tony was tempted to have it down last year but I wouldn't let him the scent is stunning Angela especially in the evenings ...

We have a similar problem of lopsided growth, Amy, caused by lack of light. Have you thought of using old fashioned clothes-line forked props to support heavy branches.
