It seems Mother's Day falls different dates, depending what country you live in, Stan.

That is a beautiful plant, I'm sure it will perform. do you give the roses Epsom salts just as they start up in the spring. I am wondering if it is a practice old as the hills. It does seem to make my roses bloom profusely compared to other years. I have to admit I follow the gardeners rather than most of the books. Like cooking, the gardeners know the little tips and secrets. PS Your grand children are adorable.

Thank you Wells that's kind of you. I've not heard of using Epsom Salts. Do you sprinkle it or water it in? I do use Top Rose, rose feed.

Hope the rose does well for you. The roses look good and strong this year. We feed our roses with rose fertiliser later on in may.
