What wonderful colours the Banana tree has! What exotic foliage as well! Would be great for those people who are always killing off their plants through overwatering! :-D)

It would be the perfect plant for people who over water. They produce fruit best when they receive a lot of water, also. (I have a lot of experience growing bananas, I have 5 varieties).

Do you tend to over water your plants then? ?? :-D)

Unfortunately, with the extremely long dry season and very hot temps from spring through late fall or early winter in inland San Diego, CA.. My plants can never be over watered. I have to water twice a day, on many days and the plants still dry out.

Thanks Delonix, Balcony, and Green finger, a full time job keeping them wet at the moment!!

You're doing a great job! I'm so happy my bananas are doing so well this year. I may get some big bunches of bananas again this year. (it's been about two years since I got any fruit).
