Hope you’re snug and warm, Posy.

We also had a few inches of snow here on December 10th! Nothing like what it seems you had in your photo! Hope you are keeping warm as that amount of snow will no doubt keep the temps very low for a few days.

Thank you everyone. One car stuck in snow. Snowing again.

Makes our bit of (unusual for December) snow last week look pathetic!

Take care, and I wish you a Merry Christmas..

Beautiful scene looks like a ready made snow man there he just needs some eyes and a nose lol I use to carry old sacks in the back of my car to put under the wheels if I got stuck in snow.

We just had our coldest night, 36F or 37F ( they don't agree) Or about 2.8C.
December was record warm the first week or so...just fell off a ledge to cold nights.

Wells, that's a beautiful Vermont winter scene!...
Stan that's PLUS four Centigrade! We'd be washing the car! our long range forecast says we have another week or so of minus 20 C. (10 below F?..just a guess) ...and you were doing so well... what happened? La Nina?
28 Dec, 2017
Well,we got a little milder Lori- but La Nina has blocked almost all our December rains. 0.05 for the whole month and about 2" inches since October.
If we only get close to average after last years deluge we will be fine.
I think that eastern USA-Canada cold is because the western high is directing storms north- to extra chill- before they descend south and east.

I have relatives in balmy British Columbia and they are suffering wintery snow and cold temps. We, in Ontario, are under a major Arctic high pressure dome...minus 30's C over night the last week or so. Today it has warmed up to minus 20's and it's actually snowing. It's hard to keep warm. We're burning a lot of wood...don't know if we'll have enough to finish the winter... might have to resort to the oil furnace. ;-(
Happy New Year!

I know your weather's pretty cold in the north east USA, but I was looking at Youtube videos of partially frozen Niagara Falls, and it said parts of Canada and the USA were very, very cold indeed, hope its not as bad as there, brrrr...keep warm as well as you can.

Its going to be awhile before the Vermont Maple's ooze syrup. Must be frozen syrup right now.
