Ours have just stated to flower too DD. I usually buy a few in a pot to put into the kitchen, then when they have finished I place them into the garden.

Hyacinths are indeed pretty tough plants, in the church gardens they have bulbs that come up every year & don't receive the most basic of cares! They are growing, & flowering, underneath a Forsythia & a Herringbone Cotoneaster! I have been going to the church for at least 10 years now & every spring they flower! I've been taking photos of them every year for at least five!
I have a blue ceramic pot full of Hyacinths. They were given to me 5 or 6 years ago by a gardening friend who run her own business. One of her clients was having a a bit of a makeover of their garden & was going to throw them away. Our friend rescued them & asked me if I would like them, of course I took them! ?? They have always lived together in the same pot & flowered very well each year, last year I repotted them in the ceramic pot as it was bigger than the plastic pot I'd originally planted them in.
They have begun flowering again this year. ?

Yes, the hyacinths seem to come through well. Have decided to buy quite a lot more in the autumn.
