I let my Calla Lily dry out & put it in a dark cupboard that's cool. I leave it in its pot. This year when I brought it out I changed the compost & put it in a bigger pot & it rewarded me with all the spathes I had this year! :)
Next week I will remove any remaining leaves & put it in the cupboard once again till next spring.

Good to see it dying back nicely, sometimes some plants can look a real mess when shutting down for the winter!
Your Hosta reminds me a lot of my Calla Lily as its leaves are also dying back & little by little are turning yellow & then brown. I have removed a lot of the leaves & in another couple of weeks it will have finished for this year.
It has done better this year than last year. Last year I only got two spathes but this year it has had 7-8! My son & daughter-in-law gave me it for my birthday 3 years ago.
