A gorgeous colour , I almost always buy Clematis from supermarkets they really are a bargain ...

I just grow them on for a season and plant them in the Autumn, Amy. We've got some lovely ones in the garden and they often fare better than the expensive ones. I suppose you can't find the newer varieties but at least they are tried and tested..

I agree ,I recently bought Wisley Cream the winter flowering one I do the same I pot them up in a deep pot at least 6" in the soil including the lowers leaves it helps them to grow more stems at the base ... and then plant them out once established ...

Not seen him this year.....some of our Clems are missing..

It's been very dry, hasn't it? A lot of mine which we planted last Autumn are crisping up, DD. I hope they return.
