I absolutely love these.. I remember seeing Sheila's in flower a couple of months ago and wondered if I'd left planting mine far too late, but here they are just beautiful..
I've placed the pot in shade, I think they prefer it and the scent is heavenly, very similar to brugmansia, Angels trumpets..really heady..

Yes. A gladiolus Julia. There are lots of flowers to each stem and soft arching leaves. I much prefer them to the usual gladioli..
Did you Ange? I had some years ago, but mine never came again.. Yes, I'm so thrilled with them and if I hadn't seen Sheila's, they would still be sitting in a bag on my kitchen worktop!
Yes I love them Sheila, and that scent!

Good idea Julia..
Yes Sandra, shall have to look and see how you care for them after flowering... Saying that these were a bag of 30 from Poundstretcher....£1.... Well worth it too!

Must admit,I wasn't very good with the aftercare,to be honest,Janey..think I probably threw them out when I decided to renew the compost in the pot ! Lol Mine were only cheap too,but from a similar shop .:o) xx

Very attractive flowers, Janey, a bonus that they have a lovely fragrance too. I haven’t tried these, they look a nice addition to the garden.

I'd forgotten about these. I had them in a garden years ago and they used to survive there year on year because of the free drainage. Couldn't do that here, but like you, I could put some in a pot. I think they're very graceful and beautifully marked.
Thanks for reminding me!
