Kate, these are lovely, something I have never grown though. Do they cope with cold Winter weather?

I hadn’t thought about that, Dan! Like the idea!

Thanks Paul, it’s all planted on the sloped rockery in the ground.
Some of it is quite vertical. It’s long width-ways too.

Thank you, that’s kind, Shirley. I don’t usually have any problems as such, I have lost one or two in the past.
Some people have said they lift them and overwinter. I am fortunate I don’t have too. In fact, this past year, all the ones I have dotted all over the sloped rockery have spread pretty well.

Usually they survive the winter o.k. outside. You can grow them in pots. If you are worried about losing them over the winter, pot a few up and put them in a frost free place. My ones seem to do o.k. outside.

Another miniature landscape. Contrasting their shapes makes each of them stand out more. Lovely.

Thank for adding Linda. 😊
Thank you, Ange, I have to admit I do love the different shapes and textures too.

the fact they are on a steep slope will help drainage and keep them healthy. its often the winter wet that kills them not the cold.
lovely planting.
