Thanks,Julia, and yes, I've just thinned it out this morning,as the petals were dropping all over the path, after the heavy rain, and as OH has recently jet washed them, they stain if left.:o(

Lovely greens and yellows, all looking healthy and flourishing well! Love the fence and shed colour!

Sandra, that's looking gorgeous. I love the differing shades of your greens and yellows . . . :o)

Lovely looking garden, Bloomer! 😃

It looks lush Sandra , the background 'forest ' compliments it beautifully x

It really does look lovely and blends in with the background perfectly.
I love your fence too.

Ay up Sandra, you're so lucky with the backdrop and you've complimented it perfectly:-) I've just been given a lysamachia by a friend who had excess. I've never grown them as I wasn't too keen on them and now I think they're lovely. Isn't it funny how your tastes change? Do you do most of the gardening yourself? It's immaculate:-))

Thank you all for your lovely comments, and sorry I'm late in replying, but we have just returned from a much needed short break in St Annes, which has recharged our batteries, over the past five days ,having had day to day Sunshine and warmth !.

Kate,We find the fence and shed colours are quite restful,so we have never wanted to change to something different over the years. At least we have lots of greenery in the winter too,as well as the shrubs.:o)
....
Julia (Waddy) lovely to meet you and Richard for lunch last Monday, when we arrived, and no doubt you found something to buy at the G.Centre you were going to visit on your way home :o) x
.....
Thanks Anget, and Rose. Russell made a gate in the fence,so we laid paving slabs behind it,so we could access any pruning, and shaping of the trees ,as they matured, and we replanted some evergreen Lonicera Nitida shrubs ,which had been planted in the landscaped border at the front of the Bungalow but far too many for my liking, and a bit boring !,so we have a clear pathway, which stops them growing through the fence :o)
......
Thank you Shirley ,and do you recognise the Osmanthus you kindly sent me, in the left hand corner border ,by the wall ? Judging by the size of it now,it seems so happy there .:o) .
......
Thank you Balcony and Amy. 'the mini forest' is on a narrow steep slope ,with a stream at the bottom, which was redirected from the fields via a culvert, and goes under a main road to the river in the valley below ,as the land wasn't suitable for building(thank goodness). It's all matured nicely over the past 20 years, with some 'tweaking' from us :Lol. The only greenery was a lonely Buddlia ,( centre of the photo),which I took a cutting from, and it is now established and ready to flower :o)

Thank you Chris, and it seems like we had quite a lot of rain here,so my Neighbour was relieved of watering duty, except for the wall troughs,so it was nice to come back to see most things in flower, and full water Butts, once again ! :o)
...
Hi June, lovely to hear from you again :o) I was gifted the Lysimachia too,and I do love the splash of bright yellow. It's quite easy to just pull some up,if it spreads too much.I do control it in this back border, but it just does it's own thing in the long border at the front :o) .
Yes, it's mostly my job ,as it's my passion, but Russell does cut the lawn at the front, and anything related, he also does any heavy work,if I can't manage it :o) x

Sandra, I just looked back to see how old the Osmanthus is . . . ten years . . . doesn't seem that long ago!

Your break away sounds just perfect with sunshine the whole time . . . lovely! :o)

I hadn't realised it was so long ago,Shirley ! I do love it,and in May,I decided to take a cutting from it,which has rooted ,so I shall plant it across in the long border :o)

We had a lovely time thank you. We stayed at the same Hotel on the last Holiday we had,in August 2019 !It was so nice to get a 'Welcome back ' :o)

Thank you Janey.I painted an old trough in the same colour as the shed, which looks nice, and I have my eye on another one which needs a makeover :o) ..

Sandra, it's scary to think it was that long ago! Well done on rooting a cutting ... :o)

I agree, but isn't it nice to watch them grow well from something so small ? so satisfying... :o).
